Leeming Primary School Music   Program

Music is taught by a music specialist; Mr Ed Hartley, and includes all students from Years 1 to year 7.

The classroom program is inclusive in nature, and all students from Years 1-7 participate in choral and instrumental activities and ensembles.

In addition to classroom music we have a band program that involves students from year 5 through to 7. Follow this link to the School Band Program Brochure.

We also have a School of Instrumental Music (SIM) string program.
Follow this link to the SIM website.

There are many performance opportunities for students:

  • A school musical performed bi-annually.
  • Two music assemblies per year involving all students
  • Performances at the Fremantle/Peel District Choral and Instrumental Festivals
  • The WAGMS concert at the Burswood Theatre, the Year 7 Graduation Performance and other community based performances.
  • All students are involved in an Edudance program with a resulting semester performance.
  • Numerous fortnightly assembly performances that are laced with drama and music
